Revving it up on the dunes

Wednesday 30 November 2016

"It took me days to get the sand out of my cameras and lenses after I re-visited one of my favourite photo assignments, The Weston Beach Race," writes London-based photographer Adrian Dennis.

"The three-hour endurance contest is predominantly for moto-cross bikes, plus a few gluttons for punishment piloting Paris Dakar-style enduro bikes, quads and even sidecars."

Catching the world's fastest

Wednesday 3 August 2016

LONDON - In some two weeks, eight men will be readying themselves on the start line for the sprint final of the 100-metres at the XXXI Olympic Games in Rio. But theirs won’t be the only high pulse rates on the field.

Faces in a crowd

Monday 12 October 2015

You’ll find strange faces peering out among AFP’s photos of the Rugby World Cup currently going on Britain. There is a woman smiling from inside a giant daffodil. There are two portly bald gentlemen in striped purple jackets.  Or a guy in a chef’s hat, his bushy moustache painted in the blue white and red of France’s tricolor.

The portraits are fun, colorful and intimate. They are the work of Adrian Dennis, an AFP photographer based in London who has been shooting for some 25 years and who is experimenting with both style and substance.

Welcome to Hell, Victorian-style

Tuesday 16 December 2014

"I squeezed through the hole in the middle of the road," writes AFP photographer Adrian Dennis after taking a grisly trip into the belly of London's sewers. "Near the bottom of the ladder, I struggled to get my boot through the 'goo' and onto the last rung before stepping off backward into waist-deep 'porridge'. My harness unhooked, the sewer technician whispered, 'Welcome to hell!'"
